OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini measurements run through provider APIs. Each observation keeps its collection method visible because provider APIs and consumer interfaces can return different answers.
For ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Copilot and other consumer surfaces, save the observed answer with its original URL, date, market and model context. HowAICite combines both evidence paths without presenting one as the other.
Market-specific measurement
HowAICite stores country code, region, city, answer language and location provenance with every observation. Provider-side location is applied where supported; Gemini currently applies answer language without web grounding.
